Pea Protein

Eliminate contains Pea protein, which  provides an excellent source of low FODMAP isolated protein.  Many other protein sources are dairy, which is a common gut irritant.  With over 65% of Kiwis being dairy intolerant, pea provides a gentler alternative.  Pea protein is also high in micronutrients and amino acids.  These are essential for metabolic functioning, weight management, healthy blood flow, heart health and cell repair.

Amino acids are molecules that play many roles in the body, the most important being as building blocks for proteins. Eliminate's amino acids come from Pea Protein and L-Glutamine.

L-Glutamine can be produced naturally in your body, but when our bodies are under pressure or stressed, we can easily become deficient.   Adding it to our Meal Replacements means that, especially if you are run down, your body has enough of this important amino acid for fat metabolism, immunity and to help fight illness or injury.  If you are doing an Elimination Diet, L-Glutamine can also help with muscle retention if your calories are lower than usual.  There is also evidence that it may help improve IBS and gut symptoms.
