Because FastFx contains absolutely everything your body needs, you can replace all three meals for as long as you like. Once you have reached your weight goal you can reduce to fewer meals per day for maintenance.
Because it is a Formulated Meal Replacement, you can use TotALL for as many meals and for as long as you like. You are getting absolutely everything you need to stay healthy.
While they are both Formulated Meal Replacements, TotALL has been designed for health and weight maintenance or weight gain, not weight loss. It contains slightly more calories than FastFx, slightly different sources of plant protein and fibre and contains some healthy fats. TotALL is perfect if you are too busy to eat healthily, have health concerns that mean you struggle to eat normally, want to make sure you are ticking all the nutritional boxes or are caring for fussy eaters. FastFx is better suited if you want to lose weight.
TotALL is still plant based, vegan, allergen and preservative free and made in NZ.
We have specifically chosen to use both pea and fava bean because they both offer different nutritional make ups and offer a broad spectrum of protein, amino acids and micronutrients. The addition of the fava bean also help to make the taste slightly smoother and creamier.
Yes. If you mix TotALL with just water, then it is still low in calories and, if used to replace a meal, will help you maintain or even lose weight. It does have slightly higher calories than FastFx, but is perfect to use to replace 1 or 2 meals a day. That will give you a calorie buffer you can use to ensure you keep the weight off.
Yes. By adding some extra calories to the smoothie when you mix it up you can use it to gain weight. This is a great way to help children or older people put on weight. Try adding milk or a dairy free milk, coconut water, banana, berries, yoghurt, honey, avocado etc.
Most of the ingredients in TotALL are low FODMAP and we have many customers with IBS who find it very helpful. It is dairy and gluten free. However, there is a very small amount of fructose, which some people find triggering.
Yes - there is a scoop inside the tub. Sometimes they nestle down into the powder, so you might have to have a little poke around to find it.
You mix 4 level scoops (included in the tub) with 350-500ml of cold water (or a mixture of water & milk depending on your taste preference). You then drink that smoothie instead of, or in addition to, a meal. You can replace up to 4 meals a day with TotALL.
This is personal preference of course, but most people like about 400-500ml of water per serve (4 scoops). If you prefer a thinner drink, then it’s no problem to add more liquid. We think using very cold water or milk tastes best.
You have the choice of mixing it with just water, or using 50/50 water and milk (or dairy free milk) or any combination of water and milk that you enjoy. This is totally up to you.. Adding the milk will give you a bit more energy and fill you up a bit more, but will add more calories, so if you are trying to lose or maintain weight loss, water is best.
If you aren’t worried about a few extra calories then it is totally about personal preference.
TotALL is totally safe for people over 65. We are bound by labelling rules that require these kinds of precautions to be included on packaging. It is simply because the NZ calorie guidelines and daily recommended amounts are based on adults between 18 and 65. Obviously the daily requirements for someone over 65 are usually no different, but that is just the perimetres of the guidelines and so we have to add a precaution for younger and older people.
If you have other health issues (such as diabetes for example) then any diet or lifestyle changes should be run past your GP.
TotALL doesn’t contain anything that could harm your baby, in fact, the extra vitamins and minerals would be great for them.
We have lots of mothers who are breastfeeding and use TotALL to top up their essential nutrients.
But the important consideration is that when you are nursing you need about 450-500 extra calories per day. That means that if you are breastfeeding TotALL should be used as a supplement and not to replace a meal, unless you are adding other calories to your day. One serve of TotALL has 229 calories (more if you mix it using milk), so you would need to consume about 500 more calories on top of that.
Because you and your baby's health is paramount, if you have any concerns, please run it by your Doctor. But, other than the calorie limitation, it would be safe to use while breastfeeding.
TotALL is perfectly safe for you to use while you are pregnant, in fact, all the extra vitamins and minerals would be wonderful for your baby's health.
But the very important consideration is that when you are pregnant you need a lot more calories than usual.
In your first trimester, you need about 1800 calories a day, second trimester 2200 calories per day, and in the third trimester 2,400 calories per day. That means that the TotALL wouldn’t be enough to also feed your baby and would have to be used as a supplement and not as a Meal Replacement.
You can use TotALL as part of your healthy diet, but just make sure you add more calories to your day, to keep your growing baby healthy.
Any concerns should be run by your Doctor.
